After the release of the last 2 lp's, this one is a bit of a let down. if this lp was without songs like Weird Times, Emily Dickinson ( Abe Lincoln clone) ,A Good Fire, and Paper And Strife this would be a better lp. Rocker and Warfare are great lp's to go along with so many others this band has done. I have been a fan since 94 and have seen then in 8 states so I think I can say this album is not there best work. Still it is Clutch, so it is still worth having a copy of. Best song on this lp is Hot Bottom Feeder
  • Might be the best one yet!!! Whoaaaaa!

When the singles first came out, I will admit that I wasn't completely blown away like I was on the last few albums. They went in a slightly different sonic direction with this album - it does not sound like the ones produced by Machine. However, it definitely sounds like Clutch, and being slightly unproduced gives it a live feel (they recorded it together in the studio rather than recording individual tracks). Dan Maines (bass) has really stepped up his game on this album and his sound is more forward in the mix while Tim Sult (guitar) doesn't rely on his wah wah pedal as much as he usually does, which is a good thing. JP is tight as usual and Neil Fallon's vocals and lyrics are top notch, as always. I've been listening to it non-stop since it came out and feel that it is one of their better albums (they have so many) and I look forward to seeing them plays live in October.

i hate to be that guy, but i truly think this might be their best album ever. it's so magical. up until now i had blast tyrant as their best album and Clutch (the Moon cover) as my favorite, but this one might end up as both. buy it now and rock out.
  • The best yet!!!!

This is the funkiest, heaviest, smartest and yes, funniest Clutch record to date. I don't go back to 1991 but I do go back with Clutch to the late 1990's. I cannot believe that they not only make great records still, but that they have just made their greatest to date. This has no weak songs and in fact some of the best tunes (Sonic Counselor being one of them) are buried deep into the album. This record will get me through 2018 and deep into 2019. God bless these bad boys!!!!
  • The best!?!?!?

Clutch can do no wrong!! It’s amazing how they continually outdo themselves time and time again.
