I saw Lori in a church in North Reading, Massachusetts many years ago. Never in a milliom years would i have known how I would fall in love with her writing and her music. Her humility and grace is the icing on the cake. As her "fame" increases her humility and spirituality is what shines through...shine on Lori...your songs make me sad sometimes but they also make me appreciate life and the gifts and blessings all around me.

On Lori McKenna's website, she writes about the importance of taking the time to appreciate all of the stories that we (and our families) have. This music does a phenomenal job of celebrating this. Was really anxious to hear this latest from my favorite songwriter not named Bruce Springsteen, and it was worth the wait and then some. The focus will be on the sublime, gorgeous songwriting — which is fine, because this artist is an all-time great songwriter whose talent, incredibly, is only ascending. But don’t sleep on her performance. I know the attention is on her songs being covered by Nashville’s finest, but the best part about a Lori McKenna song is hearing her sing it.
