Yes, Megadeth just did a good remaster. Shocking, I know. But besides that the songs RULE. The title track, Chosen Ones, and Mechanix are my favorites, but LR/LtD and Rattlehead also are awesome. This is a fast and aggressive metal album that is imo one of Megadeth’s best albums period (top 5).

I listen to this on repeat, such an underrated thrashterpiece.

I got this on vinyl and it sounds better than ever. In comparison to the original pressing of this album, which I own, it's not even close. Between the updated cover art, quality of the vinyl (180 gram blood-red), and the clarity of mix it's amazing. Dave also threw in some of the drum fills Gar did that for some reason didn't get on the original - "Chosen Ones" is one example. Listen to the end fill and you'll hear something different than the original. This is not a cash grab re-master, there's definitely some new nuggets on this record to appreciate.

I like the revamped guitars in “Loved You To Deth”. I was disappointed the the lyrics in “These Boots” are the 60’s version. I loved Dave’s version. But, I know he ran into some trouble with the original songwriter...whatevz. The live songs are always to be skipped through. Overall, it’s the best remaster. I’m proud to own the original vinyl AND cassette (I was a bit of a fan back then, ha!) Thus is still tied with Peace Sells as my favorite Megadeth album. “Chosen Ones”, “Looking Down The Cross” and “Skull Beneath The Skin” are so perfect.
  • I prefer the more recent remaster

I prefer the more recent remaster, less echo (which yes, it was more compressed...but that's just how I'm used to this album sounding). Also, I prefer an internet-ripped version of These Boots. Dave has re-sung it with the correct song lyrics. However, the original - unapproved lyrics were more fun.

Great remaster with some included live tracks. Just perfect! I’m glad I discovered this band around a year ago. Absolutely one of my favorite bands now!
