Been excited about this guy since the Griswold's "Live this Nightmare" remix came up on my Pandora. NGHTMRE has a distinctive sound, a mix of highly melodic and highly percussive work. He uses a lot of pots and pans, "ping" or steel drum sounds to put together some surprising breaks. I've looked at some earlier NGHTMRE work (with Slander) and it seemed to come from a less mature artist than the later tracks I enjoyed, like Street. This EP is more in the vein of Street, and is well crafted and interesting. I'm not sure if a full album of this sound would be overkill, but this is the first solid release from a matured NGHTMRE. Looking forward to more.
