This album is tremendous. A culmination of emotion, and bound by a powerful theme. It feels really great to be able to see how the band has grown up and matured over the years. I'm a huge fan of The Wonder Years, and this album moves me on a personal level.

This is an emotionally draining album. You will cry several times before its over and then you'll be angry but yet somehow at peace. Honestly TWY have released some great albums but this one is by far the best. 11/10

I've been playing this disc on repeat in my car for months now and every time it delivers. It cannot be understated the achievement that TWY have accomplished with this album, it's simply one of the best pop-punk/rock albums out there right now.
  • Very Disappointing

I was very let down by this album. Listening to this album from start to finish, it gave me the impression that the making of the record was incredibly rushed. The quality of the album's production, I think, suffered because of this. Most, if not all, of the songs felt kind of half-baked and all seemed like things the band has already done before. Soupy's lyrics in particular were very whiny and uninspiring, which is really surprising considering that this is the same guy that wrote The Upsides and Suburbia 4-5 years ago. I think at this point, the band's music and overall message has become a bit redundant. Their change in direction as of late hasn't been something that I'm particularly fond of, so I think I'm checking out... I still love their music and they're still one of my favorite bands, but this album was just a big let down for me. I expected more from these guys. This is all just my opinion, though... If you like the record, cool. If you haven't heard it yet, then give it a listen and formulate your own opinion. That's all there is to be said.

Every one of The Wonder Years albums have been great listens until this one. The mixing is off on this album and they just sound like they've turned into a whiny emo band. Too bad, at least their older albums were good.

Have really been enjoying this album, lyrically Campbell amazes and the band sounds tight and the music sets the tone of the songs well. Great album will be listening to it for a while!
  • What happened to this band?

After giving this record a bunch of solid listen throughs it's apparent that most people on here reviewing are just jumping on TWY's dick. This record sounds like a weak attempt at a band trying to be mature and deep. There isn't one catchy, fun song on this whole record. I understand that a bands' sound can change throughout their career but this record is way off from anything is expect from the wonder years. I'm not hoping for another "upsides" with each record they put out but I'm wanting to hear a few upbeat jams in the mix. "A Song For Earnest Hemingway" is a suggested listen, even if the song title is tackier than its lyrics.
