Description

Her journey takes her to a singing competition at Dollywood hosted by none other than multiple Grammy® Award winner Dolly Parton (Nine to Five). There, she also reunites her with her musician father, played by Grammy® Award nominated singer and producer Brian McKnight (American Dreams) and uncovers the musical legacy of African Americans in the world of country music. Mary Kay Place (Big Love) stars as her grandmother.

If you want a sweet, beautiful and touching Christmas time story it just doesn’t get any better than this made for television movie. Dolly Parton is amazing as usual and the young star, Desiree Ross, is sweet and absolutely perfect. Watch this movie over and over and be prepared to see it every Christmas because I’m sure it will become a classic.
