Political Animals, Season 1

I love this show. I was on Netflix and I was looking up anything with Ciaran Hinds and I came across this series. I'm a huge fan of Ciaran Hinds. He's brilliant as the former president. Sigourney Weaver is amazing as the Secretary of State. Yesterday she played the First Lady aka Kevin Kline's wife in "Dave" and now she's playing a serious character who calls all the shots.

I was waiting this show in my trip to St Kitts! Oh, Boy! What a nice show, full of nice dialogues, beautiful people... great! I have no idea when they are going to give us season 2,3,4,5,6,7...and on!

Sad that it seems they are not continuing onto a second season/series. Great cast and storyline, it gets you hooked.

Loved the show! Anyone know what's up with it, are we going to get a season 2?

Sigourney Weaver, Ciarán Hinds, Ellen Burstyn, Carla Gugino make TV series relevant again with such great acting that the closeups - a death sentence for lesser actors - reveal depth to their respective characters and keep us glued to the series. The directing is smart and for the most part, the writing is great. We see inside DC politics from the Oval to the media coverage, and how inside the notorious beltway works- betrayals, ethical issues, loyalty, love, charm.. The only weakness in the series are the two sons, whose roles are to draw young audiences. But why bother? They are black holes. The series is much more fun to watch when the adults are playing politics. The dramas surrounding the sons slows the tempo and robs the series of the depth it should have with the perfect pitch performances of the lead actors. One of the sons played Weaver's chief of staff, then campaign mananger. But he is looks and acts like a 20-yeard-old. Result is that the series loses credibility. The other son is portrayed by another lightweight. Too bad, because the characters in the hands of actors on par with the Weaver et al would make the long scenes with these guys interesting at least. Fortunately, the heavyweights carry the series.

i love this tv show, i hope it won't be too short . and come on !!! we need more episodes !!!!
