  • A Marvelous Documentary Series About The Prehistoric Animals That Came After The Dinosaurs

"Walking With Beasts” is truly awe-inspiring, besides being entertaining and educational to boot. This series give a nice overlook of the animals that lived after dinosaurs died out with the rise of mammals. There were some truly monstrous animals back then! The CGI graphics are so brilliant that the prehistoric creatures look completely real. Kenneth Branagh's narration delivery is similarly spot-on, very sensitively well-delivered. Very entertaining & informative series with detailed regarding prehistoric animals. Highly recommended.
  • Ripoff

It only shows 30 second clips of the full episode. What a ripoff

These shows are, in a word, awsome. They are full of information about creatures you don't see anywhere else. My four year old daughter and I watch this and other shows like this on my nights off from work. She especially likes the Sabre Tooth episode. I wish Itunes could get Chased By Dinosaurs as that is her favorite.

Overall I am for this series but they missed the boat on a few things. Example "the next of kin" ; early human being would be at least as caring as chimpanzees; therefor no kid would be turned out into the cold, they would be adopted by the other females as they are all kin. And let us note that we are far closer to bonobos then chimps and they don't fight when they meet other groups and for the most part neither do we.

It's like the animals are in your living room! It is truly a five-star film! Very realistic! Nothing bad exept maybe it's better to keep it for ages 7+ because of the violence. But, it's GREAT!

Many people, kids especially, think that there was nothing going on between the time of the dinosaurs and the time of people. Boy are they wrong! This series shows exactly how cool mammals got between the two ages. This is a great series in that it explores a seldom seen epoch of time.
  • Not as cool as dinosaurs, but amazing nonetheless

I first saw walking with dinosaurs when i was about seven because i thought it would be the coolest thing. After i enjoyed it, i was excited to hear about a sequel. This is a great program that is almost as good as its predessecor and still amazes me
  • It feels like the creatures in this series are actually alive!

This is the best prehistoric mammal program I have ever seen! But not every animal in this series is a mammal. The series included two specialized, predatory flightless birds. One bird is included in the first episode "New Dawn" and the other is in the fifth episode "Sabre Tooth". Using animatronics and realistic animation, Tim Haines (Series Producer) and the people that brought you "Walking with Dinosaurs" created a series that brought to life the creatures that came after the dinosaurs.
