  • This is an undiscovered gem.

This motion picture comic was dreamt up long before Zack Snyder got approval to do the movie. This genre of motion comic never quite got off the ground and that’s a shame. It’s beautiful and a true and faithful tribute to Moore and Gibbon’s original work.

Having been a fan of Watchmen for as long as I can remember, this was a great way of making one of my favorite comic book series come to life. The movie in 2009 was great, but I'll always prefer the books. They're definitely the best version of this beautiful story, and this is a great way to experience them! 5 stars!!!!!
  • Watchmen is amazing. This, not as much.

These motion comics are taken directly from the comics themselves. The animation is great, and every panel has action. I have only one problem: one guy does all the voices. If more than one guy did them, I would rate it five stars. Batman: Black and White had multiple voice actors, and it was amazing. Still better then the movie, which I also rate four stars.
  • Sub-par adaptation

This is really just an audiobook of the graphic novel with very slight motion to the frames. When the narrator voices dialogue from female characters, he sounds like a tranny. And he has an obvious Canadian accent which detracts even more from his read of the characters. Pass.

--perfect to watch before seeing the live action film for those who haven't read the comic book series in years. While I would never recommend this motion comic over the original series to anyone who had not yet read it, the motion comic is very faithful--word for word almost--to the original. Even the subtle, clever touches like the first panel of a comic page being related to the last panel or dialog of the preceding page are recreated in the motion comic. If you are not familiar with audiobooks read by a single voice actor, be forewarned--that is how the dialog is handled here. And it works.
  • Almost brilliant

Had they just used several voice actors instead of one person like on an audio book, it would've been perfect. But this is an early motion comic, maybe the first. So there were no rules or expectations -- totally uncharted waters. Outstanding work. Let's see more of this sort of motion comics stuff!
  • motion comics are the future of comics

visit any of the major (or for that matter, smaller) publishers and you WILL see that motion comics like this are the future of comics. each month more and more comics are being made as motion comics, and not just books that have already been published, but new books as well. it is an easy alternative for people who want to enjoy the style of comic book, but on the go. very nice to have on an ipod, but i don't think i would want to watch it on a big HD tv. This is most certainly worth the $19.99. any complaints about voice acting are just that, complaints. so it is an opinion based problem, not actually a valid complaint. check this out!

besides it being one person being every voice, obvious but true, its the comic coming alive. worth buying all of them
