Have y’all lost your minds? It’s okay to be gay. And 2 gay parents can just pick up kids from an orphanage.

Can someone please explain why a gay wedding is inappropriate for kids but a straight wedding isn’t? Geez, these “reviews” are hypocrisy at it’s finest.

Family is family is family. Love is love is love. ‘nuff said on that subject. My daughter was turning 2 when Arthur premiered on PBS. Soon my beautiful little girl will be 24. The years fly fast, parents. Cherish every moment. Arthur is as good now, as it was at the start! My daughter and I still occasionally watch it together.

Definitely the wrong storyline for a child....what are these producers thinking?!?

Just like the recent trend in children’s literature to represent all types of people and families, Arthur has too. Representation cannot be understated in the healthy development of a child. Watching an episode of this or any TV show will not make you gay, but it can do a lot to help children (and adults) learn to understand others better, and perhaps make a few people out there feel less alone and seen.

I’m only writing this review to raise this season’s score, because it shouldn’t be rated 1-2 stars just for including gay characters. That’s not fair criticism, it’s blatant homophobia. Maybe the episode about Mr. Ratburn’s wedding isn’t perfect, but it sends an important message to kids that two people of the same sex in love is normal, natural, acceptable, appropriate, and nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, it’s the idea that gay people are “sick”, “morally wrong”, and don’t deserve equal treatment that is inappropriate for kids, because that’s discrimination and discrimination is wrong.

This is the way to do queer representation. Take note, disney and other big companies. Don't make a big deal out of it, just treat it like the normal thing it is. Bless you Arthur!
