First off the cast is amazing; they pull off every scene seamlessly. The show itself can get a little political but they touch on topics that other shows hesitate on: threesomes, the cost of loyalty, healthy relationships vs emotionally abusive ones - all in a way I haven’t seen many shows pull off before. I highly recommend giving this show a chance.

It’s so sad when they decide its necessary to take something that was awesome and make politicize it :(

So much identity politics makes this show unwatchable, gave it a chance and failed to capture my attention. Avoid the shills who say this is amazing because it is not. Stick to the original series for a better story and entertainment.

  • The Actors Are Likeable… However, It Is Always Deeper Than Political. It Is More About "CONTROL".

We do not have to be aliens to understand the HUMAN mind is far more powerful than we have ever been taught. Below is some of the garbage the industry elite would like for the masses to mistakenly believe: “Love is scary”. “Love is the worst thing that ever happened to me”. “We are defined by what we can control”. “Love is out of control.” Activists stand in the way of progress. So do NOT put your compassion into action in order to prevent injustice in the world, just obey and get out the way. ‘Regular humans’ are powerless; only aliens, witches and monsters have special powers. It’s so cool to be powerful and YOU can be powerful too… but only IF you accept aliens, witchcraft and monsters into your life… you lowly humans! It is easy to be destructive and killing makes you more powerful. Healing is hard and it makes you weak. For all of the Love gained, others must die. You know… suffer! Sacrifice! The ultimate weapon in subconscious manipulation- LOVE and LIFE = loss and death. That’s their favorite mind screw! The aforementioned crap is what they want the Human Collective Mind (both consciously and subconsciously) to believe is ‘our reality’. Why? Entropy! Our Entropy = weakness and our weakness = their power. They believe our loss is their gain. Flaw in their methods? You bet! It is a Universal Law that no one escapes. Whatever you willfully do to others, the same will come back on you. In the case of the 1% and their network of deceitful, destructive industry elite buddies… I hope the Universal Law takes effect sooner than later. It would certainly rid our planet of some major parasites.

The original was way better. If you’re trying to escape politics (border walls and immigration) don’t watch this. They took a name of a good show and ruined it. Just watch the original Roswell.

This is a great tv show! I loved the character development, as well as, the twists and turns as the plot unravels. It’s a journey of sass, ego, humility, forgiveness, anger, revenge with a mix of alien and human to spice it all up!

Couldn’t even make it through the first episode, not even entertaining as their agenda is shoved down the poor viewer throats. I’ll just rewatch the original show at least it was good.
  • Good Sci Fi Entertainment

Those who claim this is a politically motivated show have NEVER seen the original Star Trek, Outer Limits, or Twilight Zone. They have never read Asimov, Heinlein or Bradbury. Rodenberry was well known for addressing such contentious issues as wealth inequality, gender issues, bigotry and racism, and other contentious socio political issues of the time. To quote Stargate and Asimov: Science fiction is an existential metaphor, that allows us to tell stories about the human condition. Isaac Asimov once said: "Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today - but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation, if we are to be saved at all." So you can ignore all of the ratings that claim politics. This is a solid sci fi show, entertaining and traditional Sci Fi fare. The acting is okay and the storyline is sufficient to keep you entertained. The issues dealt with in this show are the same as we are currently addressing so it places social issues squarely in the middle. Worth a watch.
