iTunes is slow to update the new shows and it takes over a week. Why can't it be faster Apple?
  • A mixed bag.

The fish so far this season are spectacular, but the show has lost something by moving from more local-feeling rivers to the vastness of the ocean. The wonderful anthropological element from previous seasons is noticeably lacking, as is the sense of a coherent "journey", and it seems like the show is working much harder and less successfully to connect the dots between the myth/story and the featured animals. It sometimes feels like they got some amazing fish footage and then tried to build a show around it. Wade himself continues to grow as one of natural history television's best presenters. I just wonder if it may be time for him to move on to something more worthy of his on-camera talent and credibility before the series becomes a shadow of itself and takes him down with it. Definitely still worth the watch for Wade and the creatures. UPDATE: May 27th, 2016. The season stayed about the way I previously described it, with the exception of "Invisible Killers", which was a clever departure from the usual while still retaining the theme of the show. The more I watched of Season 8, the more I began to think Wade seems tired of his own series. Is that just me?

Jeremy Wade tackles salt water fishing and doesn't limit himself to inland rivers. Really, what can't he do when it comes to fishing? The lengths Jeremy goes to follow a story or catch some insane fish really make the show interesting, I mean the guy got malaria on one of his quests for a monster. He certainly is dedicated and skilled at his profession and makes a great show.

2 weeks behind, really? Where are the most recent 2 episodes? At least give us some information, especially if YOU are waiting on Animal Planet. Was going to say this is the last season pass I buy on iTunes, this isn't the first time this has happened, but after looking at Amazon Prime, they seem to be having the same issue also. Probably cable companies crying over online accesibility and streaming rights.
