  • Not a comedy... it was mostly a drama.

I am upset this was portrayed as a comedy. It’s a great indie film that is tackling some real issues and struggles educators in the United States face everyday. I commend the makers for undertaking the mission to bring these to light. It is not a comedy. It is a satire at best. It felt like scenes from the show the office that didn’t make the cut. I give it two stars overall because I didn’t want to watch a drama I wanted to watch a comedy. At $4.99 it was a good price and if you’re in the mood for a serious/ light satire about public education this is a great movie. It however is not one of those movies you’ll feel the urge to watch again a few months later.

Being a huge fan of ‘Best in Show’ and Christopher Guest’s many other mokumentary movies I decided to give this a try for $7.99. I counted the number of times I laughed: 3. They even refer to Guest’s movie ‘This is Spinal Tap’ in the movie by quoting the 11 amplifier portion. That was not one of the 3 times I laughed; to myself. Poor mokumentary acting. I expected so more more from this film. Nothing seemed to mesh well. They tried to make a comedy/drama movie (I think) and just failed. My 10 year old acts better than this. Don’t let the word ‘mokumentary’ fool you into watching this movie. I did so you didn’t have to. Good luck.

If you remember the scene from Me, Myself, and Irene when Jim Carrey says his mouth is Dry from taking pills. That might accurately describe this film. I wanted to like this because I like really tend to like KMK, but this was more serious than funny. All in all.. i turned it off because it was boring.
  • Funny at times

This was funny at times but other times I couldn't figure out if it was serious or a comedy. I was expecting more humor from Michael Key but his role was limited. Not the funniest I've seen but also not the worst.

Cringingly unfunny and mediocre acting. Don't waste your money. Don't believe the critic's score on rotten tomatoes either.
