Description

The sensation of the Cannes Film Festival and the most controversial film of the year, Blue is the Warmest Color made cinema history as the first film ever awarded the Palme d'Or to both its director and its actresses. In a star-making role, Adèle Exarchopoulos is Adèle, a passionate young woman who has a yearning she doesn't quite understand until a chance encounter with the blue-haired Emma ignites a flame and brings her to life. Léa Seydoux (Midnight in Paris) gives a fearless performance as Emma, the older woman who excites Adèle's desire and becomes the love of her life. Abdellatif Kechiche's (The Secret of the Grain) intimate epic of tenderness and passion charts their relationship over the course of several years, from the ecstasy of a first kiss to the agony of heartbreak. Pulsing with gestures, embraces, furtive exchanges, and arias of joy and devastation, Blue is the Warmest Color is a profoundly moving hymn to both love and life.

  • Great love story with emotional depth

One of the best love films I’ve seen. It has an emotional theme that stays with you once the movie is over. The best thing about the movie is not the love scenes or the length of the film. It was the emotional bond these actors took on. Never seen so much crying and depression by the main character. I’m glad I bought the film and can’t wait to see the sequel.

In 2013, when this movie came out, it got an NC-17 rating. But by today’s standards, it is really just a R rating. The story is ok, could be better, with a more happy ending. The romance believable. The Adele character is believable, and very well acted.

I wasn’t sure about seeing this at first. But when I did I was totally mesmerized by the performances. Especially by Adele Exarchopoulos. She is just Incredible in this. Her face exhibits such REALITY. Her eyes! She is literally the best part of this movie. 👍👍👍❗️Descripti

Love this film. It’s not about love, lust, or anything else — it’s the study of one girl / young woman figuring out life for herself just like how we all have to do.

I was profoundly moved by this film. The joy of loving another and the profound pain at the loss of that love. The movie left me in tears. I did not want it to end, i wanted to know that Adel would be all right. Thank you for this wonderful film.

I loved the movie, I'm lesbian myself and seeing this film was heart warming and heart breaking. All of my mixed emotions are towards this movie. If you don't like pornography you can skip a part, if you don't mind it your fine. This film was a bit heart breaking to so be prepared for an emotional roller coaster!!!

This raw masterpiece had me feeling like I was secretly intruding into other people's lives. A tour de force of acting by both female leads.
