At first I thought Iron Man 2 would be bad but instead it was fun super good fun. Robert Downey Jr. Again was fantastic as Iron Man and Tony Stark.

I first saw Iron Man 2 as a kid. Now in the years gone by, I realize how dumb it actually is. The story is extremely overstuffed, focused on franchise-building rather than character development and a compelling antagonist. Of course, this is a decent movie. The acting as usual is great, the humor is placed well and the action sequences thrilling. However, compared to the other two Iron Man films, heck, the entire MCU....Iron Man 2 ranks near the bottom of the franchise. People who trash Iron Man 3 hate it simply because it “wasn’t exciting enough” or “too much Tony and too little Iron Man”. If anything, this one is TOO MUCH Iron Man and less about making Tony Stark a good character. Iron Man 3 EXCELLED at developing Tony’s arc and highlighting his internal conflict: does he control the machine, or does the machine control him?

This film is a lot of fun and severely underrated. Honestly one of the best Marvel films and the most enjoyable Iron Man. Downey is great as always and so is Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer. This movie represents a simpler time in the MCU and is great nostalgia

Amazing movie... but when will this movie upgrade to 4K? This is really annoying to me when movies released on 4K Home Video don’t appear 4K on iTunes.
