I can watch this movie over and over, but for real insight on Father Gary’s experiences (free of Hollywood influence), read the book.

It has perhaps more truth than most horror movies about exorcism, but with that being said, it's an awful romanticization of evil. Read the book, its way better and far more startling than anything this dumb movie can offer.
Great movie

The film presents exorcism and the demonic in a relatively authentic manner. None of the junk endemic to The Exorcist. Anthony Hopkins creates a super, if annoying character and the Dominican professor is really great. Scary without blood and guts.

I enjoyed this film. No, it isn't on the level of the exorcist or the omen, but it does give you a different perspective on those who fight or encounter demonic possession (if that's the sort of thing you believe in). Of course, these stories always revolve around the concepts of belief, crisis of faith, and the nature of Good/Evil.
This is a solid " A " show

Great acting by Colin O'Donoghue & Hopkins . I know the script is similar from past movies , but this one has to be one of the top 3 of these types of movies . I like how they have a non-believer that challenges some aspects with science questions towards the Bible .
Fantastic probe into the Question of faith

It keeps you guessing and on”edge.” But it’s not a high octane thriller like “The Exorcist.” Even though it is, essentially THAT. What it does do is connect the dots a little bit more magnified, and slower so you can follow.
If you’re a believer coming to this movie, you will want to take a few moments to let what this production has created here, sink in. It’s very in heavy stuff. Demons and Jesus Christ.
I just thought what they did with this was similar terrain, but they turned it in a unique way. It’s in the details, and the details here were great to follow.
And another thing. Anthony Hopkins.
That is all.
Stunning

If you love Sir Anthony Hopkins, he goes beyond greatness. His roles have been dark, deliberate and diabolical and often subdude in narrative. He makes this role so very great by been so much more intense.
I admire the producers of this movie for even trying this very controversial and complex such which is why many may not like it. However, it is beautiful and stunning throughout.
