Description

Erin's (Drew Barrymore) wry wit and unfiltered frankness charm newly single Garrett (Justin Long) over beer, bar trivia and breakfast the next morning. Their chemistry sparks a full-fledged summer fling, but neither expects it to last once Erin heads home to San Francisco and Garrett stays behind for his job in New York City. But when six weeks of romping through the city inadvertently become meaningful, neither is sure they want it to end. And while Garrett's friends, Box (Jason Sudeikis) and Dan (Charlie Day), joke about his pre-flight calorie-cutting and his full-time relationship with his cell phone, they don't like losing their best drinking buddy to yet another rocky romance. At the same time, Erin's high-strung, overprotective married sister, Corrine (Christina Applegate), wants to keep Erin from heading down an all-too-familiar road. But despite the opposite coasts, the nay-saying friends and family, and a few unexpected temptations, the couple just might go the distance.

  • Totally worth it

I was kind of put off by some of the more stupid, raunchy jokes in the beginning, but the movie totally turned it around, balancing the humor with really heartfelt moments while managing realistic reactions and, honestly, believable outcomes. It's a really good movie, would definitely recommend (not for kids, but for a night in with your significant other? Yes).
  • Boring

This movie was boring, and was not really "romantic" or funny. I usually like movies like this, but for some reason, this one fell flat for me. I think the characters lacked chemistry, making the entire just kind of dull.

This was such a good movie. I don't understand how it got rottens. It is so entertaining and funny throughout. I mainly love the first scene where they are on kind of a one night stand and the his roommate plays music, and how she is actually a chill girl instead of an uptight girl most depicted in movies. She is actually chill and they both care for each other a lot.

I like both actors in the film. It's a nice film, not great but worth a watch. Nails long distance relationships.
