Let’s not forget she was a Nazi sympathizer and informant.
I just recently saw this movie on t.v and instantly fell in love with it. It's Chanel's life story! I even love the cinematography, the music, the costumes, and how they decided to film it in French! I saw it with English subtitles.
It really surprised me how she was an orphan and had many hardships. But it's understandable how she became a success through her hard work and her vision for women's fashion. This movie is beautiful and so is her story. I highly recomend this movie to anyone who enjoys learning about the history of fashion.
By the way, I saw a comment about how they only show her as a designer at the end of the movie. But you must know the movie is called Coco BEFORE Chanel. Everyone knows about her successful career as a designer, but what most people don't know is her life BEFORE her success.
Beautiful movie, a must see! :)

This was truly one of the most uninteresting biopics I've ever seen. They should have focused later in life, her fashion, her vision, her pain. Instead they focused on her early adult life and did it in a vaccuum. It was terribly boring, I kept desperately waiting for the clothes and it came in like 30 seocnds at the end. If Chanel was this drab and icy as a person
