Directed by the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window is an edge-of-your-seat classic starring two of Hollywood's most popular stars. When a professional photographer (James Stewart) is confined to a wheelchair with a broken leg, he becomes obsessed with watching the private dramas of his neighbors play out across the courtyard. When he suspects his neighbor of murdering his nagging wife, he enlists his socialite girlfriend (Grace Kelly) to help investigate the suspicious chain of events, leading to one of the most memorable and gripping endings in all of film history. Rear Window has been honored in AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Movies for excellence in film.

This film is so watchable. I’ve seen it countless times and it ranks very high up on my list of favorite films. Must watch! This is a great place to start if you’ve never seen a Hitchcock film!

Rear Window is one of the most haunting but mysterious alfred hitchcock movies ever made. The movie has a dark tone and it's acting performences are fantastic. All of the cinematopgraphy is amazing. I stood there in aw wondering if somebody is at my window.

I only saw this recently (past year) and feel it is a wonderful Hitchcock classic, even though I don't like all of his movies (including Rope); The dialogue is interesting & funny & of coruse enjoying to see Grace Kelly in one of her best roles. I was able to buy this move for $4.99 the other day & the primary reason for posting this review is my puzzlement that iTunes did not advertise that price at all, and I only found out by checking over older movies after purchasing The Big Sleep (after seeing Cassablanca on sale on Amazon - worse platform for sure on there). Anyway, I love watching this movie and that other one mentioned, due to their captivating stories and well kept preserved motion pictures. Thanks for the deal & many other deals on here this summer.

I can't believe the dog dies... I prefer Jeff to die instead of the Dog... THE DOG WAS THE HERO
  • Not a 5-Star movie.

The plot is not bad, but the movie dragged. Stewart and Kelly don't make a good romantic pair. I thought her character was somewhat pathetic and Stewart's somewhat unbelievable. This certainly isn't a "thriller," although it could have been. It's really just an average movie that was over-hyped because the the big-name stars and director.
