Description

Cameron Diaz and Ewan McGregor are star-crossed lovebirds on the lam in this twisted romantic comedy from the creators of Trainspotting. Celine (Diaz) is a spoiled, rich young woman whose worst nightmare is having her credit card rejected. Robert (McGregor) is a hapless janitor whose greatest dream is to write the Great American Trash Novel. They have nothing in common, except the burning desire to live "a life less ordinary." When Celine is kidnapped by the inept Robert, a pair of celestial cops are dispatched to earth to make sure they live that "life less ordinary" together. Co-starring Oscar -winner Holly Hunter and Delroy Lindo.

I don't know what's with these bad reviews but I love Ewan McGregor (especially in The Island) and A Life Less Ordinary is a great movie. My whole family watched it and it kept our attention and we laughed.

It does't take much to entertain me but this movie is horrible! I really like both Diaz and McGregor but not in this film. The plot is wasted on some really lame scenes. I wasn't sure if I was watching a horror film at some points! Honestly, it is not worth the time or money. I guess to each their own but this one isn't for most!

sorry "knowitalls", but it seems you dont know it all. but in reality this movie is exciting in everyway, and is a fine buy. The music is awesome, and ewan and cameron DO have chemistry. so if you are looking for romance, adventure, comedy, look no further.

So bad. Love Danny Boyle. Loved Trainspotting, Love Millions, Sunshine and of course, Slum Dog...but this movie is just a dog. Ewan McGregor is a good actor but there is zero chemistry between him and Camerion Diaz. The lines are awful and delivered as if they weren't even in the same room. They seem not to understand what they are doing or why they are doing it. I can't really think of a good performance out of any of the actors in this movie - even Holly Hunter's angel doesn't get off the ground. If this is trying to be a tribute to the screwball romance genre- it has failed miserably. Try watching Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn in Bringing Up Baby or any of the Thin Man Series to understand how comedic dialogue and character chemistry can work.

I could watch this movie over and over again. There is just so much to it: Ewan, Cameron, the singing, the violence, the music, everything. Definately worth a shot, and a purchase.
