  • Strange take on Hulk

Just watched this last night and thought it was ok. The action scenes were fun to watch. Wasn’t really comfortable with Bruce and David Banner’s relationship though. One thing’s for sure, Nick Nolte does a great job playing a psychopath. Eric Bana was great as Hulk too. Compared to other iterations, this one pales. Worth at least one watch though. 6/10.

Still entertaining enough and looks like a master piece when compared to the Eternals movie. Personally like him more than Edward Norton and Mark Ruffalo

The film isn't terrible, but it's not great either. I like the vibrant colors, action, and the camera work are all fantastic. I like the transitions and 'picture-in-picture' comic-like panels too, though they're a tad overused which clears up towards the end of the film. The story is alright, and the pacing are probably where this film suffers most. A good number of scenes probably could've been cut from the first half of the film and the pacing would've vastly improved. Unfortunately it commits a grave sin by altering the Hulk's origin. If you have the software and confidence to do so, you could probably edit the film yourself and improve your viewing experience. It's almost like they made no cuts whatsoever to the film. If it wasn't for the pacing and the altered origin story this film might've been a perfect Hulk movie. I think it's still worth a purchase, maybe when it's on sale or if you're a fan of Hulk.

Honestly this hulk adaptation, I grew up watching it and it’s still one of the best ones. So much hate from the ones that like the new hulk with mark ruffalo. You’ll never understand watching this hulk movie

I am in my 20’s, I watched this again with my Dad, and we both had a very good time watching Hulk again in so many days. I was confused with the plot when I was a teenager, but now that I am in my 20s, I like it even more than I used to. I also like the relationship between Bruce Banner (Eric Bana), and Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly). And yes, Betty is Bruce’s girlfriend. I can not even imagine how much of the movie was spent on it, especially during the first half. I also like the background story on Bruce Banner’s childhood, and how he became the Hulk after a freak-lab accident. Many people, including the user reviews on ITunes and IMDB complained about their being to much background story, and not enough action. Yes, it is true. It takes about 42 minutes for Bruce Banner to transform into the Hulk. Hulk is a good monster, but people in the movie think that he is bad, or should I say, misunderstood. There is a scene where Betty Ross encounters a big green giant monster, and doesn’t know it’s Bruce Banner disguised as the Hulk. After a short time, there are aggressive dogs that appear from the deep dark woods and try to attack Betty, and it’s up for Hulk to stop and kill them in order to save his one and only girlfriend, Betty. This scene shows that Hulk is actually a good monster. The CGI effects are great for the most part. Bruce Banner only becomes the Hulk about 4 times throughout the whole movie. The first two times he is the big green guy for l as than 8 minutes. The third time, he’s Hulk for almost 20 minutes running around a desert and flying like a bird and trying to evade a group of army men with guns, helicopters, and tanks. The Hulk flying during these chase scenes is amazing! (Spoilers) Hulk fights his Dad near the end of the film. Hulk’s Dad gets his powers from getting electrocuted. Anything he touches he becomes! Hulk ends up winning and killing his Dad during the final fight. HULK SMASH! Wonderful movie worth checking out, knowing it’s a wait for a long time for the action and Hulk smash to arrive flick.

Great hulk stand alone film. Not affiliated with the MCU, but still worth watching.
  • Absolutely Amazing!!!

Just watched this movie last night. It was absolutely amazing, even though Bruce Banner is played by different actors in every movie. I’ve seen almost every current Marvel movie, and for a long time, I was telling people that the Hulk movies were some of the only ones I was missing. They told me that I wasn’t missing anything. I beg to differ. I’m glad I watched this movie, and I think Marvel fans are missing something if they don’t watch this movie. It is an early Marvel that isn’t very well-known these days, but will always have its place in the Marvel universe. Even though Mark Ruffalo is the current actor for the Incredible Hulk right now, Eric Bana played a very good Hulk. I also think the story is very smart. I was astonished at how violent the ending was, though. Every Marvel fan needs to see this movie!
  • Definitely ahead of its time

This movie is by no means perfect but compared to movies nowadays it’s almost on par. The movie was ahead of its time and had a lot going for it. Acting was good and effects were good although it’s defiantly aging. I would recommend to anyone who’s a fan of hulk.
