Description

Legendary Detroit Tigers pitcher Billy Chapel (Kevin Costner) has always been better at baseball than at love. Just ask Jane (Kelly Preston), his on-again, off-again girlfriend. At the end of a disappointing season, just before what may be the last professional game of his life, Jane tells Billy she's leaving him. Now, with his career and his love life in the balance, Billy battles against his physical and emotional limits as he plays the game of his life. And now with every pitch, Billy comes closer to making the most important decision of his life. The suspense doesn't end until the last ball is thrown in this heartwarming drama about love, life and the perfect game.

Movie is good but its 5$ in a bin at walmart somewhere or on ebay. They need to work on movie pricing.

It grows your spirit and it teaches you "never give up". Life is like a roller coaster with upside downs, but you will never regret it.

One of the 10 best movies I've ever seen. You don't have to be a baseball fan to love this movie.

This movie really shows how a pro athlete can focus under pressure. I love how as his world is falling apart he is able to put everything out of his mind and just be there in the game. Excellent use of sound and post production work to accent the focus he is using. The flashbacks to put together his devastated personal life are a nice touch. Costner is very believable as he's mentally and physically putting everything into the game. Vin Scully, the veteran Dodger announcer adds just the right touch to the play by play. The best part about Scullly's contribution is that he actually calls games using words and phrases exactly like in this movie. It makes you feel like you're watching a game. Great movie.
