Description

When Muffy St. John (Deborah Foreman, VALLEY GIRL) invited her college friends up to her parents' secluded island home for the time of their lives, she just forgot to tell them it just might be the last time of their lives. As soon as the kids arrive on the island, someone starts trimming the guest list... one murder at a time. What starts out as a weekend of harmless "April Fool's Day" pranks turns into a bloody battle for survival, with a few unexpected twists and turns for everyone invited—including the audience.

Loved this movie when it came out & love it now...the crying baby on the tape recorder was awesome, me & our friends picked up that little gem & would prank other friends by leaving it outside their window on a rainy night & such, a classic (wasn’t a whole lot to do in the 80’s)...ahh, good times...

Not clever, scary, nor comedic. It's a time-waster. Even taking a nap would prove more interesting.

I have watched this now about five times and I love it. Great cast, story and direction. And what a great couple of surprises at the end. Won't spoil it. Deborah Foreman is particularly good. She is best known for Valley Girl. A forgotten classic that needs to be re-discovered.

I enjoyed this movie for it's originality. Who'd ever think supporting actors from other 80's classics could make such an entertaining film!

Typically lost in the muck of '80s holiday-themed slasher flicks, this little gem turns the clichés upside-down with a level of humor and irony that wouldn't be fully absorbed into the horror genre until the Scream flicks a decade later. Starring a variety of vaguely familiar "teens" from other '80s films (including Deborah Foreman from Valley Girl, Amy Steel from Friday the 13th Part II, Deborah Goodrich and Clayton Rohner from Just One of the Guys, and Thomas F. Wilson from the Back to the Future trilogy), some effort has been made to make all of the characters likable and to make the scares psychological rather than rely on cheap-looking gore. Most importantly, there is actually a script here, and ultimately it is the story that serves the film. Check it out if you always thought '80s slashers were more stupid than stylish.
