Description

Alfred Hitchcock's landmark masterpiece of the macabre stars Anthony Perkins as the troubled Norman Bates, whose old dark house and adjoining motel are not the place to spend a quiet evening. No one knows that better than Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), the ill-fated traveler whose journey ends in the notorious "shower scene." As first a private detective, then Marion's sister (Vera Miles) searches for her, the horror and the suspense mount to a terrifying climax where the mysterious killer is finally revealed.

Every time I watch Psycho, I’m reminded of why this movie is consistently considered Hitchcock’s greatest thriller! This movie is well-plotted and terrifying! And the cast is great! We all go a little mad sometimes...

Passion, love, fear and loyalty - this flick of the 60s has it all. It's tough to judge this almost 60 years later, but I still find this a wonderful learning tool. The movie which brought us Norman and Bates Motel is just a small portion of a story steeped in mystery. I loved watching this again and have once again been brought to satisfaction again in my viewing of this wonderful movie. Hitchcock wasn't shy about simply telling a story and I truly wish more had his guts.
