Description

The Frankenstein legend takes an uproarious twist in this outrageous special effects-laden comedy from the writer-director of Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club. Critically acclaimed filmmaker John Hughes is at it again, giving nerdy computer whiz Ilan Mitchell-Smith and his best friend, Anthony Michael Hall, power to create the "perfect woman" (Kelly LeBrock). Like a computer-generated fairy godmother, the duo's out-of-this-world creation guides the pair through the pleasures and pitfalls of adolescence. With a rock beat supplied by many music superstars including Oingo Boingo, this far-out, sci-fi fable brings everyone's favorite teen fantasies to life through the miracle of Weird Science.

It doesn’t get any better than this movie. John Hughes is a master and has turned all his movies into gold. Very sad that he passed at such a young age I can only imagine the Movies that he would have made if he was still with us… This movie has such a great cast… It oozes the early to mid 80s at its finest the comedy is hysterical and it’s such a fun ride you cannot NOT give this movie five stars!

See you in court Apple. I’ve been telling you for 9 years I know about the secrets you keep from users. Now it’s time you pay up sucker. You’ll be hearing from my attorney very soon.. denying me that five dollar refund for a movie that I purchased twice because your system doesn’t recognize I already purchased the movie… that’s called fraud and false advertising. See you in court Apple!

I find it funnny looking at it now they built a goddess with floppy discs and an early to mid 80s pc. This movie could never be made now- whomp whomp. Plus, the fact they wouldn’t be doing what 15-16 y/o boys would do with Kelly LeBrock is the most far fetched thing of the entire movie. I doubt they’d leave the house for the rest of their lives!

Weird Science is ridiculous fun distilled to its purest form. I don't understand the tomatometer on this one at all; sureiIt's not a character-driven masterpiece like The Breakfast Club, and not quite as breakneck or incisive as Sixteen Candles. It's just a comedy that runs on pure teenage coming-of-age insanity, and if you're inclined to dismiss it as another Porky's wannabe, know that it's ultimately pretty...dare I say "sweet" by the end? (And massively less lewd, of course. But as an early PG-13, it freaked out a lot of parents when it was new.) Weird Sciencet may not be Hughes' singularly best film...but that's some stiff competition. Try it as the first film in a Jon Hughes marathon for maximum effect

This movie is spunky, hilarious and it's another caricature of the 1980s

This movie has the same affect on me as it did when I watched it when I was 10 years old in 1986!!! It doesn't have an expiration date on it and will never go out of style.
