Description

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan star in Nora Ephron's wonderfully romantic comedy about two people drawn together by destiny. Hanks stars as Sam Baldwin, a widowed father who, thanks to the wiles of his worried son, becomes a reluctant guest on a radio call-in show. He's an instant hit with thousands of female listeners who deluge his Seattle home with letters of comfort. Meanwhile, inspired in equal parts by Sam's story and by classic Hollywood romance, writer Annie Reed (Ryan) becomes convinced that it's her destiny to meet Sam. There are just two problems: Annie's engaged to someone else and Sam doesn't know yet that they're made for each other. Co-starring Rosie O'Donnell, Rita Wilson and Rob Riener.

I usually enjoy a bad stalker rom-com, but this one had nothing to offer.

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are the perfect Hollywood hearthoub couple to starr in any romantic comedy in whole blown years, and there relationship in the movies is totally well exprienced and relaxed throughout ever single romance movie that has to do with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. Sleepless in Settale well here's the thing iam not a fan of romance movies whenever Hollywood is trying to punk up a romantic movie with cliche diagloue and wooden plotpoints that rather become bad romace movies with no complex and meaning to it. Sleepless In Seattle tells the story about Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks) a depressed, ambitious businessman who after his wife's death stumbles around his uncertain life, he stays with his son Jonah Baldwin (Ross Magliner) in a lake house. Then we get introduced to our other female spirited woman Annie Reed (Meg Ryan), after hearing Sam Baldwin on the raido pintpoting for Sam to get a new wife in his life because Sam dosen't feel right at home when it comes to losing someone from the past. Annie Reed feels bad for Sam Baldwin as Annie descents into obession with the mysetrious charamastic man with the hopes to have a relationship with Sam and get him out of his slums from his wife's death and the annoying laughter from Victora (Barbara Garrick). Sleepless In Seattle creates the logic for romance movies and takes the movie really seriously and temptating performences from Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks who have a long-distance obession relationship meaning that we don't see this individual characters connecting or having any relationship throughout the movie, and the diagloue is worth listening to. Just like The Lake House were Alex and Katie have a long-distance relationship and don't have any chimestry or connection to sliutefly there charasmatic relationship in the film. Sure this film looks beautiful and relaxing for a hot summer night in New York City but i found the other characters to be distracting and lifeless but Sleepless never fails at being a romantic comedy it succeds at being a long-distance or going the distance romance movie that has it's flaws and the movie feels well-written and well shot that's because it is and i like Meg Ryan in this movie alot she isn't the most successful actress but her obession with Sam Baldwin was thrilly enjoyable but sounded like a soul mate trying to say bye in german while seeing Life Is Beautiful. Anyway Sleepless in Seattle is relaxing, hailrious and sweetly entertaining but sometimes going the distance is going the distance-rating 8/10

This was a very good movie for its day and continues to have staying power. If you liked You've Got Mail, you'll like this one, even if it is just a little too sweet.

Just for the record, Mike Schmidt of the Philadelphia Phillies is the greatest third baseman of all time, not Brooks Robinson as this movie claims rather fantastically. Brooks was a fine player and a popular Oriole, just not the greatest.

This is a great film, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are just at their best. The supporting cast is some of the best and bring so much humor and joy to the story. It is one of those films that if you catch it on TV and did not see the beginning you are still in for the rest of the ride.
