In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. “Black Widow”—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—is directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.

Marvel - Excellent way to portray this movie! In. Every. Way! Every single person that had the pair of b%&@s to keep those first 10 minutes of the opening scenes. Well done! You add some historic truth in to each of these Marvel movies and I appreciate it. And as always Johansson portrayed her role beautifully and professionally. 🤩😎
  • Ahhh...just ok

Women are are dumb and slimy. To me this movie screams the sex trafficking that goes on in the world. The movie just was ok...very slow with lots of drama. Thank God I did not pay a pretty penny for watch the Disney agenda push!

1st off, I’d give the movie 2.5 stars outta 5 but iTunes doesn’t allow that. This movie is neither great nor terrible. It’s just a plain ole action movie with nothing I haven’t seen before. Storyline was very predictable. Felt like I’ve seen this movie 100x already. Also, as a few others have noted, this whole women empowerment has gotten ridiculous. I suspend belief before any movie I watch but it’s getting really old seeing a 105 pound woman doing a karate kick and sending men through the walls. Real life a 250-300 man wouldn’t feel a thing but hey, “WOMEN RULE!”, right? Also getting sick of seeing men portrayed as idiots and villains while the women are always portrayed as thoughtful, and of course, oppressed by men in some way. I don’t really know how to explain it but I’m sure most people notice it with today’s movies. The “wokeism” has gotten outta control. But I guess this is how things will go in Hollyweird for a little while longer, until everyone finally gets sick of it all. The script was predictable which kinda stinks cuz black widow has a pretty awesome back story filled with surprises. Black Widow deserves better. Again though, this movie is watchable. That’s about the only good thing I can say. Marvel has really lost their touch. Guess the saying is true: “GET WOKE, GO BROKE”
  • The movie was still entertaining

It was released at such a bad time. Overall it means nothing for the MCU and should’ve been released before her death in endgame.
  • no acting to get in the way of the plot

I had high hopes for this movie. The timeline was confusing and hurried. Morbid attempts at acting got in the way of some worthy action scenes. Keep your money.

  • Not good

The acting is subpar and the story seemed rather flat for a Marvel movie. I don’t think Scarlett is a good stand alone actress or maybe she just doesn’t like her job either way it lacked conviction from her as I didn’t believe in her character. I wouldn’t waste your money on purchasing and definitely wait for .99 rental or free tv. End note: Initially I was so happy to be able to watch this on Disney+ especially with Delta sweeping through our area and quite frankly my husband and I are enjoying this new way to see movies the same day or within a couple weeks of them releasing in theater! Even a mediocre movie like this is fun to watch with the limited options because of Covid. Sadly a couple weeks after watching it our experience was ruined and we were left soured towards Scarlett for throwing a fit and suing the hand that feeds her- essentially her fans over the fact that it streamed the same time. I mean come on, actors need to embrace all their fans to include those that for one reason or another can’t or won’t go to the theaters. Thank God for HBO Max because Scarlett ruined the Disney+ Premier Access for her fans and for all other movies moving forward. What a miserable, selfish and greedy person.
  • Spy movie

Solid spy movie with some good humor. Not good. But not bad
  • Good start to phase 4

The comments on here are super bias. Jeeez! I am assuming the ppl on here commenting did not enjoy the movie bc of taskmaster and the empowerment of women. This movie yes was late, but it had heart and family at the center of the film. Black widow is a beloved character and this movie does highlight that in some ways.
  • We enjoyed the Black Widow movie

We did not risk going to the local theater to see Black Widow, so a couple nights ago via iTunes, we (my wife and I) finally watched it. While I can understand some of the negative comments, we found all aspects of the movie enjoyable, from the additions to the backstory of Black Widow, from earlier MCU films, to the sister-sister banter, joking and ribbing (my wife has a sister, so that felt very familiar). Neither of us are burdened with prior knowledge of any stories or characters from Marvel Comics. All we know comes from the MCU, so maybe that made it easier for us to simply enjoy the movie, as it was. And, we did.
