Description

In this true-life Cold War spy thriller, unassuming British businessman Greville Wynne (Benedict Cumberbatch) becomes entangled in one of the greatest international conflicts in history. Recruited by MI6 and a CIA operative (Rachel Brosnahan), Wynne forms a covert partnership with Soviet officer Oleg Penkovsky (Merab Ninidze), and both men risk everything in a danger-fraught race against time to provide the intelligence needed to prevent nuclear confrontation and end the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Riveting drama based on true facts of an English businessman's involvement with a decorated Soviet spy to avert the Cuban Missile Crisis. The script and the acting are impeccable. The story can only be true. There is nothing dragging this movie down other than it was released during the times of Co-vid 19. Definitely worth seeing!

Way a movie should be made. Striving against the evil empire. Of course the Left wants to bring this miserable ideology here to America. Naturally. And then later generations can make movies about the dark days of America! Like a merry go round!!

Sometimes a move based upon true events is sometime difficult to re capture. THIS IS ONE OF THE GOOD ONES.

Glad I ignored the nay sayers. This is a really good movie that perfectly captures the political climate. Poignant and uplifting at the same time. A true story about true heroes.

The first 3/4 of this film are legitimately great. I felt like I was watching one of the best true spy movies ever. But the last quarter of the movie felt incredibly rushed, to the point that it made me wonder if the studio just ran out of money and had to throw something together. I was genuinely shocked by how this incredible film, packed with so much riveting storytelling, could stumble so badly at its ending.
