i’m aware that the ad was a mistake. but unfortunately, the movie still somewhat fat shames. the princess goes from ‘fat and ugly’ to ‘skinny and beautiful’. there are other factors to beauty than just weight, you know.

This movie is truly great! The animation as well as the story telling is amazing. Funny and enjoyable. I watched it two days in a row and was still entertained. It’s a shame it’s not more popular although I know the reason is due to a botched marketing attempt.
  • The main point isn’t fat shaming

Some of y’all have probably not even watched the movie, for if you did, you’d realize it’s not about fat shaming. Yeah there may be some things they could’ve done/changed about it, but the fat shaming I see all over people’s reviews is only expressed as fat shaming in the advertisements. The main team never approved of that advertisement, and now the internet is all about the movie being a fat shaming disaster. The point of the movie was to love yourself and others for who they are. The point of the movie was the exact opposite of what that advertisement has done for it, and people should really realize that and do more research before they put a 1 star review for what they heard off the internet. Overall, I enjoyed this movie, and give it a 4/5 :)

Hello! I love this movie so much (it’s in my top favorite three)! It also has a wonderful ending and I really get the meaning. True beauty lies within. Btw, answering one of the reviewers comments, Merlin changes between his dwarf and human form because it depends on when people are looking at him or not. For example, when he was looking for the Love Spells Book, he was in his human form because no one was looking at him. But when one of his comrades came in, he changed back because his comrade was looking at him. And, both forms of him are real. His dwarf form is just a change in appearance by a curse. By the way, awesome ending! I love how Merlin and Snow White got married at the end! Better than killing Merlin off. Oh, and thanks for picking Chloe Grace Mortez for Snow White, because Chloe is also Princess Kaguya’s English voice actor in the tale of the Princess Kaguya. And Sam Claflin for Merlin (aka Microft from Enola Holmes and another guy sorry I forget his name but he’s from the hunger games). 10/10 I will definitely recommend this to my friends!

The timing of the sound editing is all wrong. Like they haven’t given the actors enough time to breathe in between lines. The direction is wooden and dopey, the kind of thing that substitutes gags for actual humor. No one is truly likable in the film either, all the bad guys lack depth or substance. I wish I had heeded the rotten tomatoes reviews that ripped this trash apart.
  • Good... enough?

The movie is good but it also feels like it’s missing something or didn’t fully hit the mark. Overall a nice film to pass the time when you’re bored but wouldn’t watch it again 🤷🏻‍♀️
