I've been a comic book fan, collector, and comic shop patron for over thirty years, and Anthony absolutely captures the fun, friendship, and community of shops in this film!

As a kid this was my life up till college. This brings back so many memories. I want to share these with my boys. Great movie!! Well done!!

This is a great documentary for anyone even if you aren’t directly interested in comics. It offers a peak behind the curtain on the daily struggles of comic shops (and small business in general) while also highlighting all the best parts of the community. It features comic shops all around the country. With everything going on in the world all of the struggles shown in here have never been more real for stores around the country and we are all stuck inside so its a perfect time to give it a view. I am a big fan of the creators podcast also My Comic Shop History which you should check out if you enjoy the movie.

Home to the source material for the world’s favorite movie genres, comic book stores have played an important role in American culture for several generations. Today they face harsh economic realities as the world transitions to digital and running a small business is as challenging as ever. This documentary does a wonderful job of detailing these challenges and what store owners are doing to fight for survival. More important, the movie shows the important niche these stores play in our community as a gathering place and an incubator for fun and friendship for those who love comics.

If you like comics, know comics, have heard of comics you will be happy you invested your time here. A cliche to say, but this is absolutely a love letter to someone that understands and respects comics. Do yourself a favor and enjoy.
