Description

In Disney and Pixar’s Onward, two teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) get an unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad and embark on an extraordinary quest aboard Barley’s epic van Guinevere. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles, and unimaginable discoveries. But when the boys’ fearless mom Laurel (voice of Julia Louis-Dreyfus) realizes that her sons are missing, she teams up with a part-lion, part-bat, part-scorpion, former warrior – aka The Manticore (voice of Octavia Spencer) – and heads off to find them. Perilous curses aside, this one magical day could mean more than any of them ever dreamed.

First of all that was one scene, you don’t need to give it 1 star just because of one scene.. there will be lgbtq people in movies so get used to it. It could be worse to.. but no. The woman just mentioned her wife that’s it. Stop being a baby and enjoy the rest of the movie.

It’s a hard movie to rate but after hours of thinking I gave this rating, first those little people are flashes and there is no logic in this. Other is that it is the same magic movie.

This movie seemed good, like a typical pixar film, and they did a great job with the world-building. But then the ending left me feeling so sad and dissatisfied that I'm never going to watch the movie again.

generally, i like pixar - even when there are tearful moments, the stories are warm and fuzzy. as a father myself, i found the ending of this film too difficult to take. if you are a parent, be warned - the reunion that the entire movie hinges on does not come to pass.
