The Witch: Subversion

I love Korean cinema. They really do know how to make a film that gives you your money’s worth. This one, however, falls slightly short of that benchmark beginning with the title and opening title sequence. This isn’t a film about witchcraft. More like, they have abilities. But the whole story doesn’t really get tripped up due to that. There is a character development that usually happens with nearly everyone who has more than a page of dialogue to say on screen. Maybe only a few get that treatment here. If you are looking for a Train To Busan or Parasite viewing experience, this is not to that level. Think closer to Train To Busan presents: Peninsula. This film plays out like it is a sequel to something far better. It won’t let you down. It won’t create that buzz where you want all your friends to watch it right away either.

I saw this months ago and Kim Da Mi doesn’t disappoint. Great movie, patiently waiting for part 2. 😊

It starts off slow for the most part, but once the action began it was great. Would definitely recommend

This movie came out in 2018. It shows that it was released recently In 2020 on well go USA entertainment and whenever you search it up. WELL GO ENT takes you to iTunes to watch it. I was eager to see it because the trailer looked different from the first movie. However the actual movie was very boring and no action that was showed in the trailer really happened. Will not watch again. I payed for this trash.

I really enjoyed this movie. All kinds of twist and turns. Overall a great movie. Great plot great acting and well produced.
