Description

From the legendary Studio Ghibli, creators of Spirited Away and Ponyo, and Academy Award®-winning director Hayao Miyazaki, comes a classic tale of magic and adventure for the whole family. When Satsuki and her sister Mei move with their father to a new home in the countryside, they find country life is not as simple as it seems. They soon discover that the house and nearby woods are full of strange and delightful creatures, including a gigantic but gentle forest spirit called Totoro, who can only be seen by children. Totoro and his friends introduce the girls to a series of adventures, including a ride aboard the extraordinary Cat Bus, in this all-ages animated masterpiece featuring the voices of Tim Daly, Lea Salonga, and real-life sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning, in early roles.

The English voice over is ok, not great, but the original Japanese voice version is in the iTunes Extras, which you don’t get to remember the position if you exit the movie before it ends; this is pretty impossible to watch with a kid.
  • Cute yet poignant film.

Another Ghibli masterpiece. Heartfelt, beautifully animated and overflowing with spirit and energy. A powerful film showing the sweet and tender simplicity of childhood. Absolutely essential to all viewers, young and old alike.

bought this on the apple tv app because it said the cast was Cheryl Chase as Mei and Lisa Michelson as Satsuki and Greg Snegoff as the dad the version that i grew up with as a child....but when i went to watch the film , it was the dakota sisters!!!!! what a rip off!!!!! why are there two different cast descriptions on two similar platforms. someone fix this glitch. it's very misleading. and very annoying. i love this film but hate the disney dub version.
