Preys on every type of horror - visceral, psychological, cosmic...reaching into you and dragging you into hell. Made even more terrifying by a script & actors that deftly handle psychological disorder without using it as a prop. Also, as a horror fan, just glad to see loving & carefeul special FX/creature design that ACTUALLY succeeds in getting under my skin. A hazy, grimy, acid trip New York City lensed & edited by mad geniuses. And please inject that score into my brain.
  • Great psychological horror film

This is one of my favorite horror movies of the last few years. Took me completely by surprise. Shocking, psychological, smart, subversive, and brilliantly shot/edited. I loved it. Love the SFX / VFX creature design too -- brilliantly subtle and motivated.
