T-34

great movie

I was blown away by this film. Not only does it keep you on the edge of your seat it’s just a good story too. The version I got was with subtitles in English. I hate subtitle movies usually. Not this one though. It has to be one of my new favorite movies now.

This film traces the career of a handsome young Soviet tank commander during WWII. He has a Nazi nemesis who grudgingly admires his skills with the T34. Films like this from a Russian perspective help to remind Westerners of the hard war Fought and won by the Soviet Union. The production of this film was just right. It looked realistic, and the obvious CGI was kept to a minimum, if at all. This film is easily the equal of “White Tiger” a similar and superb Russian WWII movie. The end reminded me a bit of the end of the classic “Battle of the Bulge.” It has a really cute scene at a rural German bus stop near the end of the film. The plot is a bit far fetched, but it makes for a good night’s entertainment. This is a war film, but also a bit of a drama and romance suitable for all. Well, the violence is probably a bit heavy for small children.

If you are interested in this movie, don't let the iTunes trailer mislead you. Specifically, the trailer uses Russian and German audio, with English subtitles. However, the actual iTunes movie is the dubbed version, with all audio in English. You're welcome English-speaking audience!

I've seen a ton of WW2 movie centered around tanks and this is by far my favorie. Not only did they get the vehicles right, but the slow motion Matrix-style shell time was fun and added an interesting dimention to the story. The movie was defiinitely over the top, (one particular scene when the crew had their T34 "dance" to Swan Lake comes to mind), but that made me like it even more.

The movie was probably the best foreign movie I’ve watch yes there where a couple of cuts in the iTunes version but that doesn’t really matter when the movie costs $8 so it is worth the buy!

One of the best movies I have ever seen!!! 5 stars!

This movie is eh. The amount of soviet propaganda in the film would have made Joseph Stalin proud, but Nikita Khrushchev would have told the director to take it down a notch or two.

Excellent nice battle scenes

the film has some special effects for a few scenes , but other than that the performance is terrible , the script was extremely mediocre , you can guess even what's going to happen , it looks like a movie made for pure basic propaganda , and like every russian movie it ends suddenly and that's it , something very funny you will find an scene on the trailer that is not on the movie , it's the gas station one , actually was a funny one but was not included , don't waist your money , this is a gas station movie
