not even worth 99 cents -- too much cgi and TOO MUCH violence and too little story

If you’re a fan of the original Japanese anime Ghost in the shell movie you’ll really appreciate this movie, there are differences between this movie and the original but it’s got amazing scenery that’s completely jaw dropping and the action and suspense are good and the acting is awesome and in my opinion Scarlet did a pretty good job and hope there’s a sequel one day! 👍👍😄

I’ve seen the original twice over the years. It’s okay but the slow pace and story don’t do much for me. I was prepared to hate this because of the whitewashing controversy but I was surprised by how much I liked it. One of the leads is an Asian male, the score is great, the visuals are incredible, and it’s fast-paced.

Why was the cover art changed to this cheap cereal box one!!!

Terrible movie! Save 2 hours of your life and avoid this mess.

Great movie, great story, great action, great cgi, amazing cinematography Definitely recommend, you won’t go wrong owning this movie. Don’t understand why folks dislike it so much.

Better than the original anime from back in the day. Even though quite a different ending.

very colorful and lots of action

Long time fan of the original, I found this version to be a good remake. The visuals are fantastic, it’s well acted. The film has a surprising grace to its action that is adapted well from its animated roots. I’m somewhat baffled by the reviews saying the nuance and meaning of the original aren’t there, they are. All in all I thought it was excellent, and really didn’t deserve the hate from either the racist camp (surprise.... The fact that Major is human/Japanese in soul alone is kind of the point of the movie) or the camp that swears up and down that they massacred the original (go watch the original then. It’s on iTunes. I’m glad they didn’t do a frame by frame reenactment).

As reading the novel, I must say the movie was exact. The movie gave it a visual experience on how the book is. Movie was stunning, with the visual and sound makes it a Sci Fi action movie. It's not what you expect the movie to be, because its about network by humans being hacked, it still gave you the feeling of futuristic idea on how the world would be in the future. Great movie. If you haven't read the book, read it and than watch this movie in 4K.
